Birds

Becoming quite the "birder".  We have had tons of neat birds visit our back yard this year.  They include Meadowlarks, Mountain Bluebirds, Owls, Rufous Hummingbirds, Towhees, Grosbeaks, and the occasional Hawk.   Lots of bluebirds lately.

Doing some bird watching..  A yellow finch with a bunch of Pine Siskins.

Lots of them around nowadays.

I think the bird below is a Flicker.

August 15,2007  We washed the windows the other day, and a bunch of birds are running into them.  Heard a loud crunch the other day, and a hawk had run into the window next to the basement steps....wow.

A Bluebird on our hillside....beautiful birds, but hard to get a picture of...very skittish

Sept 7, 2007  Trying to get a picture of the Meadowlark on our feeder, but he flies away when he sees the camera.  This bird is a new one.  Cannot figure out what it is.   Anyone know? The one on the left is a purple finch.  What is the other one?

At least 16 finches on this feeder.......
